Primary Function:
The Manager, Learning & Development is responsible for building and leading Dashiell's learning ecosystem, partnering with business leaders and HR Business Partners to assess organizational training needs and translate them into effective programs that develop employees, managers, and leaders. This role serves as the primary owner of the Company’s learning management system and will architect and expand Dashiell's enterprise-wide training strategy. The position will be based in our Houston, TX office and will report to Dashiell's VP, Human Resources.
Duties & Responsibilities
Employee may be called upon to perform any or all of the following functions:
- Assume ownership of the learning management system, optimize content organization, user management, reporting, and compliance tracking to maximize platform value and user adoption.
- Partner with HR Business Partners, business unit leaders, and senior management to conduct training needs assessments and develop a comprehensive learning strategy aligned with Dashiell's growth objectives.
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging training programs, curricula, and learning experiences across a variety of modalities, including instructor-led, virtual, and e-learning formats.
- Build and manage Dashiell's leadership development programming, equipping managers and emerging leaders with the skills needed to lead effectively in a growing, complex organization.
- Manage the compliance training calendar, ensuring all required training is current, tracked, and completed across the organization.
- Curate and manage relationships with external training vendors and content providers; evaluate and recommend resources that complement internally developed programming.
- Establish metrics and evaluation frameworks to measure the effectiveness and business impact of learning programs; report results to HR leadership and key stakeholders.
- Support onboarding program development in partnership with People Operations, ensuring new employees are set up for success from day one.
- Develop and manage the L&D function budget, ensuring programs are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Perform special projects and complete other duties as assigned or requested.

- Position L&D as a competitive differentiator in attracting and retaining talent as the company scales.
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Instructional Design, Human Resources, Education, or a related field required; equivalent work experience (4 years) will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in learning and development, organizational development, or a related HR function
- Demonstrated experience administering a learning management system; Cornerstone OnDemand experience strongly preferred
- Experience designing and delivering leadership development programs and management training curricula
- CPTD (Certified Professional in Talent Development), SHRM-CP/SCP, or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong instructional design skills with experience developing content across multiple modalities (ILT, virtual, e-learning, microlearning)
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills; able to engage audiences from frontline employees to senior executives
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple programs and priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate) preferred
- Ability to analyze learning data and translate outcomes into meaningful insights for leadership
- Able to travel occasionally to Dashiell office locations and project sites
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods during computer-based work.
- Ability to stand and walk intermittently throughout the workday.
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
- Occasional travel to other offices or meeting locations.
Environmental Conditions
- Primarily climate-controlled office environment.
- Occasional exposure to field or industrial environments during site visits.
