Job Title: Construction Manager

Job Location: 12301 Kurland Dr STE 400 Houston, TX 77034

Primary Function:
The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of assigned high voltage electrical installation projects from pre-construction through project completion. Assignments typically include managing project safety, material handling, quality, schedule, estimates, cost control, field personnel and subcontracts.

Duties & Responsibilities
Employee may be called upon to perform any or all the following functions:

  • Responsible for the oversight of day-to-day construction activities.
  • Provide direction and participate in project planning, scheduling, estimating, cost development, and establishing critical project objectives.
  • Coordinate with purchasing department to ensure that requested materials are expedited and received per project schedule.
  • Develop new and manage existing client relationships while interfacing with the client on project related items.
  • Develop new and manage existing subcontractor relationships based on previous experience in the Electric Power Industry.
  • Verify all applicable project permits are secured in accordance with the project requirements.
  • Review, approve, and communicate internal and external reports including project budgeting and status reports.
  • Collaborate with engineering to implement design changes in the field.
  • Comply with Company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management/Science, Electrical Engineering, or Civil Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of construction experience in the Electric Power Industry is required. Equivalent field experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

Job Qualifications:

  • Experience in estimating, subcontracting, and scheduling EPC projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 100% of the time.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC card if applicable to assigned project.
