The Heavy Construction Equipment Mechanic is based out of our Deer Park, TX office, located at 1300 Underwood Deer Park, TX 77536.

 

Primary Function:

The Heavy Construction Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for the repair, recondition and service of heavy construction equipment, and vehicles, including but not limited to bucket trucks, line trucks, aerial work platforms, telescopic forklifts, hydraulic cranes, pressure drills, and civil equipment.
 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Employee may be called upon to perform any or all of the following functions:
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions and failures of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, gas and diesel engine systems and their components.
  • Actively follow company safety policy and procedures on job sites and promote safe behavior by others in the work zone
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, recondition and maintain equipment an components
  • Maintains all equipment in a good clean orderly condition and report all deficiencies to supervisors
  • Plays an active role in the development o the safety culture on the project
  • Perform federally required DOT annual truck and trailer inspections accurately completing required annual documentation
  • Communicate with the Equipment Superintendent throughout the day with information of equipment conditions and readiness
  • Complete and file any applicable reports and paper work
  • Fulfill any duties deemed necessary by the Equipment Manager or Equipment Superintendent
  • Must be on time and exhibit consistent attendance
  • Travel out of town to remote job sites no more than 10% of the year
  • Other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications / Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience as an industrial mechanic is required.  Experience working with equipment involved with high voltage substation construction is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical skills with the following:  Diesel, Hydraulic, Electrical, etc.
  • Must own and maintain required personal tools
  • Must posses a current driver's license / CDL license prior to hire
  • Effective oral and written communication skills

Must be at least 18 years of aga and legally authorizes to work int he United States on a permanent basis without visa sponsorship.  No third party recruiters, please.
