Mission:

The Substation Design Engineer is responsible for the successful delivery of substation engineering projects that meet the technical requirements of the projects, adhere to all necessary codes, are of the highest quality, and meet or exceed the schedule and budget needs of the projects. They will be part of a team that creates all the physical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and all associated reports, specs, and material list that go into substation packages.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Electrical, Civil or Structural engineering, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience engineering substations or transmission lines.
  • EIT (first part of professional licensing) is preferred
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of applicable engineering codes
  • Excellent communication skills working with clients and other employees
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
